Downton Motor Club - Speed Series
The Downton Speed Series is a speed championship organised by members of the Downton Engineering Works Social Club (DEWS) consisting of hill climbs and spirits.

The Club was reformed in 2009 by some of the original 1960s club members following a reunion of ex-Downton Engineering Works employees. Many of its members not only worked at Downton but have original cars that were either owned, or worked on, by the Company though, of course, new members do not need to have been an employee.
The series runs from March to October and includes sprints at Castle Combe, Llandow and Clay Pigeon. Hilllcimbs at Wiscombe Park, Charmouth (Manor Farm), Gurston Down, Prescott, Loton Park, Castle and Shelsley Walsh.
